Coach e The Serpentine Galleries hanno presentato una line-up spettacolare di performance per l’edizione 2015 del Future Contemporaries Party, l’annuale raccolta fondi organizzata dalla Serpentine che per la prima volta è stata alla Serpentine Sackler Gallery.
Come parte della serie di concerti del Coach Backstage, il gruppo Warpaint ha suonato un set bellissimo compresa la loro hit Undertowand No way out dal loro nuovo album, che ha stregato il pubblico. C’è stata anche altra musica live con Iain Woodswhose (il suo debut album Psychologist è uscito a Dicembre) e la serata ha continuato con DJ sets di Nick Grimshaw, Hugo Heatcote, Mimi Xu (Misty Rabbit), Yasmina Dexter (Pandora’s Jukebox), and Harriet Verney.
Lo spirito anarchico della poesia beat è stata riportata in vita da Wholly Communion Verbal Disco.
Hans Ulrich Obrist, Co-Director della Serpentine Galleries ha aperto la serata insieme a Ben Eastham, Editor of The White Review literary magazine. La performance ha compreso alcuni fra i nomi più interessanti della nuova scena di musicisti e poeti, fra cui Rachael Allen, Kit Buchan, Harry Burke, Sophie Collins, Harland Miller, The Perverts e Sam Riviere. Michael Horovitz, rappresentante del movimento del British Beat, co-organizzatore del leggendario Poetry Internationale all’ Albert Hall (1965) e fondatore dei Poetry Olympics, ha fatto una performance incredibile recitando The Ghost of Summer.
Gli ospiti hanno avuto l’opportunità di interagire con una installazione site-specific realizzata per l’evento dall’artista Gary Baseman, che ha collaborato con Coach sulla loro collezione spring 2015.

Coach Backstage: Creato nel settembre del 2014 come una serie di concerti per dare voce alla nuova generazione di talenti, il progetto è stato presentato su coach.com con una selezione di musica dove i visitatori possono scoprire nuovi artisti e la loro musica.
Future Contemporaries: Il progetto The Future Contemporaries fu lanciato nel 2000 per incoraggiare una maggiore partecipazione dei giovani al mondo dell’arte contemporanea in UK. L’evento raccoglie fondi per i programmi della Serpentine dedicati all’arte, architettura, design, istruzione, includendo gli artisti emergenti nella serie Park Nights e nella maratona annuale della Serpentine e mantenendo l’ingresso alle gallerie gratuito per circa 1,2 milioni di visitatori ogni anno.
The Future Contemporaries è un gruppo di collezionisti e filantropi che raccoglie leader di tutto il mondo del mondo dell’arte, business, fashion, film, musica e media, che hanno al massimo 39 anni.

Coach and The Serpentine Galleries presented a spectacular line-up of performances for the 2015 Future Contemporaries Party. The annual fundraiser organized by the Serpentine’s young patrons took place for the first time in the Serpentine Sackler Gallery.
As part of the Coach Backstage global concert series, LA indie rock group Warpaint, performed a set that included their acclaimed song Undertowand No Way Out from their new album, captivating the audience with their rhythms and subtle melodies. There was a live music set by Iain Woodswhose debut album Psychologist came out in December and the evening included DJ sets from Nick Grimshaw, Hugo Heatcote, Mimi Xu (Misty Rabbit), Yasmina Dexter (Pandora’s Jukebox), and Harriet Verney.
The anarchic spirit of beat poetry was invoked by Wholly Communion Verbal Disco. Hans Ulrich Obrist, Co-Director of the Serpentine Galleries opened the programme with Ben Eastham, Editor of The White Review literary magazine as compere. The performance involved some of the UK’s most exciting young artists and poets, including Rachael Allen, Kit Buchan, Harry Burke, Sophie Collins, Harland Miller, The Perverts andSam Riviere. The champion of the British Beat movement, co-organiser of 1965’s legendary Poetry Internationale at the Albert Hall and founder of the Poetry Olympics Michael Horovitz, gave an exceptional performance reciting The Ghost of Summer.
Guests had the opportunity to interact with an immersive site-‐specific installation made exclusively for the event by artist Gary Baseman, who has collaborated with Coach on their spring 2015 collection.

ABOUT FUTURE CONTEMPORARIES: The Future Contemporaries programme was set up in 2000 to encourage closer engagement with contemporary art by a younger demographic and was one of the earliest schemes of its kind in the UK. The Party raises funds for the Serpentine’s acclaimed Art, Architecture, Design, Education and Public Programmes, including emerging artists in the Park Nights series and the Serpentine’s annual Marathon as well as keeping the Galleries free for as many as 1.2 million visitors a year.
The Future Contemporaries is a group of collectors and philanthropists. Members are leaders from across the worlds of art, business, fashion, film, music and the media, aged 39 and under.
