Quando si pensa a New York si pensa subito a spazi minimal, essenziali, quasi scarni e svuotati e invece…qui siamo da Edun, abbastanza newyorchese?
Usually when you think about New York and fashion you imagine minimal/empty/spacious/industrial locations right? Here we are at Edun’s…is it Newyorkish enough?
Qui l’essenzialità gioca con uno dei temi della sfilata Lacoste “Tennis anyone?”, e riproduce quindi sulla passerella (scordatevi ormai la classica passerella sopraelevata) le linee che delimitano un campo da gioco anche se in modo geometricamente spezzettato, anche i seggiolini in qualche modo contribuiscono a creare un effetto tennis-court.
Here we are at Lacoste and the space follow one of the main theme of the collection “Tennis anyone?”, you can see on the floor of the “runway” (let’s forget the classical runway forever) the typical tennis court lines, even the seats all around contribute to the tennis court effect.
Quando si “scende in campo” il gioco diventa ancora più divertente con un raffinato cortocircuito fra fashion e cinema, il riferimento che salta a tutti agli occhi è al film The Royal Tenenbaums e ai personaggi interpretati da Gwyneth Paltrow e Ben Stiller. Un altro dei temi, degli hastag della sfilata è “Rene did it first”, Rene Lacoste lo ha fatto prima…prima di tutti ha reso l’abbigliamento sportivo, che prima era solo per i campi da gioco, uno stile da indossare ogni giorno.

Per chi è davvero una fashion victim quello che è più prezioso di una sfilata sono i gadget realizzati ad hoc per l’evento che diventano ambitissimi e invidiatissimi, oggi più che mai dopo una foto su instagram, qui i braccialetti per l’after-party di Prabal Gurung siamo sicuri diventeranno un bangle da sfoggiare ovunque nei prossimi giorni.

L’idratazione è importante, quante volte dobbiamo ripetervelo? Vedete le modelle? Tutte con la bottiglietta d’acqua a reidratarsi, loro lo fanno con la cannuccia perché in un backstage i bicchieri di carta che possono capovolgersi da un momento all’altro non so ben visti e poi perché con la cannuccia il ritocco da fare al rossetto è di sicuro più veloce e immediato.
Hydrate yourself! Always always always, how many time we need to tell you? You see…models do it, everyone’s got their bottle of water, they drink it trough a straw cause 1) paper cups are not the best things to keep on a backstage…you know how easy is to make ‘em drop and spill the water all over. 2) it doesn’t mess up the make-up too much.
