Armani and “Most Violent Year” Premiere

 Giorgio Armani ha presentato la premiere ufficiale dell’attesissimo film  “A Most Violent Year” a New York City, seguito da un party in cui erano presenti il regista J.C. Chandor, i due protagonisti del film Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain nella splendida location del ristorante Armani sulla prestigiosa Fifth Avenue.

Per l’occasione Jessica Chastain (che ha ricevuto due nomination agli Oscar) ha indossato un vestito custum made di Giorgio Armani, ispirato ai look Armani che indossa nel film il suo personaggio “Anna Morales”. L’attore Oscar Isaac (che interpreta il marito di Anna Morales nel film) ha indossato un abito Giorgio Armani per l’evento.

Nella sua ultima collaborazione cinematografica, lo stile Armani è presente e ben visibile nella pellicola: un crime drama ambientato a New York City durante l’inverno del 1981, che secondo le statistiche è considerato l’anno più pericoloso nella storia della città.

Per il suo ruolo la Castain è vestita esclusivamente Armani sia per gli abiti da giorno che per quelli da sera, l’attrice insieme alla stimata costume designer Kasia Walicka-Maimone ha volato più volte a Milano per visitare gli incredibili archivi Armani. In aggiunta ad alcuni look chiaramente ispirati allo stile del 1980, la maggior parte degli abiti sono realizzati con tessuti dell’epoca splendidamente conservati.

“A Most Violent Year” debutta nei cinema degli Stati Uniti il 31 Dicembre, nel resto del mondo a Gennaio e Febbraio 2015.

 Giorgio Armani tonight presented the official premiere of the highly anticipated movie “A Most Violent Year” that took place in New York City, followed by an after party hosted by director J.C. Chandor, Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain at Armani / Ristorante on Fifth Avenue.

For the events, two-time Academy Award® nominee Chastain chose to wear a custom made Giorgio Armani gown, inspired by an Armani look that she wears in the movie for her character – Anna Morales. Acclaimed actor Oscar Isaac, who plays her husband Abel Morales in the movie, chose to wear a Giorgio Armani suit for tonight’s event.

In his latest film collaboration, Giorgio Armani’s signature style is front and center in the film, a searing crime drama set in New York City during the winter of 1981, statistically the most dangerous year in the city’s history.

For her role in the film, Chastain is attired exclusively in Giorgio Armani looks, including chic daytime sheath dresses, a strapless evening gown accessorized with an brilliantly encrusted beaded jacket, fluid crepe blouses and trouser ensembles, and a white stylish wrap trench coat with a bold belt detail.

Chastain and esteemed costume designer Kasia Walicka-Maimone had traveled to Milan to visit the private, burgeoning Giorgio Armani archives. In addition to some contemporary looks clearly inspired by the 1980s, most of the pieces worn are well-preserved vintage garments from the same period.

“A Most Violent Year” opens December 31st in the United States, and globally throughout January and February 2015.
