È andato in scena a Londra l’appuntamento più importante per il mondo della moda britannico (LFW esclusa): i British Fashion Award che in un’epoca di acronimi e hashtag hanno invaso e scosso il mondo dei media di tutto il mondo con le tre lettere BFA.

I designer britannici sono conosciuti per la loro abilità nel rivoluzionare lo stile della moda in tutto il mondo con il loro impeccabile stile, ogni giorno i BFA celebrano la creatività e il successo delle personalità più interessanti dell’ “Impero Britannico”, sin dal 1989.

Eccovi l’elenco dei vincitori di quest’anno, poche sorprese per la vittoria di Cara Delevingne come modella dell’anno…ci sarebbe da chiedersi “di quale anno?” visto che sono ormai almeno 5 anni che la bella modella inglese macina successi e campagne in tutto il mondo.

Premiata con un premio alla carriera Anna Wintour, un’icona di stile e una delle menti più instancabili di tutto il fashion world. Victoria Beckham anche lei porta a casa un premio, capace di passare dai palchi con le Spice Girl alle passerelle con assoluta non chalance, Emma Watson premiata con uno style award, per lei un passaggio dal grande schermo cinematografico ai set di editoriali di moda e campagne per famosi brand.

Premi anche per i “non britannici”: Nicolas Ghesquière per Louis Vuitton che vince anche il premio per la migliora campagna pubblicitaria.

– Model

A British model who has contributed most to the international fashion scene in the past year.

WINNER: Cara Delevingne

– Special Recognition Award

Chris Moore will be honoured with a Special Recognition Award for a remarkable career that has spanned six decades and a contribution to the fashion industry.

– Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator

Edward Enninful will be honoured with the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator for his monumental contribution to the global fashion industry.

– International Designer

Recognising a non-British internationally acclaimed, leading designer who has directed the shape of fashion in the past year both in the UK and internationally.

WINNER: Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton

– Outstanding Achievement Award

Anna Wintour will receive the Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2014 British Fashion Awards for her tremendous contribution to the fashion industry.

– Creative Campaign

An award recognising the creativity behind the most innovative and dynamic piece of editorial or advertising in the past year.

– New Establishment Designer

– Brand

A leading British based designer brand that has made an impact on the international stage over the past year with global distribution, stand alone store(s), dynamic campaigns and an e-commerce platform.

WINNER: Victoria Beckham

– British Style Award

An individual who most embodies the spirit of British fashion and is an international ambassador for London as a leading creative fashion capital. The only award decided by the public.

WINNER: Emma Watson

– Accessory Designer

The leading British designer of shoes, jewellery, millinery or accessories within the past year who has been instrumental in enhancing accessories within fashion.

WINNER: Anya Hindmarch

– Menswear Designer

A leading British designer of ready-to-wear who has been instrumental in enhancing men’s fashion in the past year.

WINNER: J.W. Anderson

– Womenswear Designer

A leading British ready-to-wear designer who has been instrumental in enhancing women’s fashion in the past year.

British designers and creatives are renowned for their ability to set the global fashion agenda. Each year the British Fashion Awards celebrates their creativity and success.

The British Fashion Awards has been celebrating the contributions of British designers, creatives and models to the international fashion scene since 1989.
