Giuseppe Di Morabito, designer del brand, con alle spalle la realizzazione di due linee uomo e una donna, in questa collezione unisce la praticità dello street style alla filosofia dell’alta moda italiana. Una donna che ricorda una bellezza classica ma che viene adattata alle estetiche e al gusto della donna moderna.
Lo stilista rinnova il suo amore per la classicità antica e per i dettagli peculiari dell’arte italiana, rivisitandoli in chiave attuale e prende ispirazione da lavori di grandi artisti, come ad esempio le api barberine di Pietro Da Cortona. Capi che rappresentano i tratti caratteristici della simbologia dell’arte e che troviamo presenti in collezione, prendendo vita attraverso pietre applicate sui capi che ne ricordano la forma.
Bomber e scarpe slip-on dal gusto moderno, contaminano la collezione che presenta inoltre abiti e capi dal sapore antico, grazie alle stampe e le fantasie utilizzate.
Per i tessuti Di Morabito sceglie duchesse di seta nera, bianca e azzurra, il jersey mercerizzato e la pelle. Piume e opulenti ricami, realizzati interamente a mano, impreziosiscono i capi formando delle texture 3D. La palette di colori è composta invece da nero, bianco e sfu- mature di blu.
Diverse le tecniche utilizzate, come quella del ricamo tradizionale fatto a mano e a filo che sperimenta in chiave moderna su tessuti siliconati e arabeschi, e l’utilizzo di materiali come la pelle e piume marabù. Un mix di lavorazioni che danno vita ad una collezione che vive nel presente ma che respira l’aria della storia del passato e che trova perfettamente spazio nell’estetica contemporanea.

Di Morabito’s Spring / Summer 2015 womenswear collection takes a look to influential and inspiring Italian arts to date such as the work of Pietro da Cortona, author of the Barberini’s bees in the fresco in their Roman palace.
These inspirations are then pushed forward with the injection of new stitches, embroidery and techniques including 3D technology. Composed, beautiful silhouettes are off set with detailed hand-embroidered pieces to create new proportions for a bespoke wardrobe suitable for the new woman.
Contrasting colours and multiple fabric textures come together in single dresses for this season
collection.
Silk, leather and cotton are the three key materials used by the designer to fulfil his vision. Di Morabito’s research of the interplay between textiles and embroidery influence how particular garments inform contemporary notions of volume and shape.
The result is a collection of pieces, fashioned in black, white and airy tones of blue and navy, that
further the discourse on how traditional decorative elements have a much-needed place in the future of streetwear. To execute his vision, Di Morabito gives us bomber jackets and slip-on shoes to complement dresses ready for long days that turn into long nights automatically.
The season’s collection is for the woman who enjoys old-fashioned alleys and who finds her happiness in the baroque nature of today’s ultra-modern world. His girl appreciates refinement only if this idea is married to the ways and beautiful wherefores of embellishment. In this regard, Di Morabito designs like the legends of Italy’s past. He reminds us that the street is where real drama takes place, in 17th Century Italy and in centuries to come.
