DROMe SS 2015.

Un viaggio nel decostruttivismo, istantanee dei capolavori mondiali dell’architettura contemporanea, delle geometrie instabili con forme pure disarticolate e decomposte.

Marianna Rosati, designer della collezione DROMe traduce la visione del suo architetto preferito, Frank Gehry, nel suo “Prêt-à-Porter di sola pelle”: 3 destinazioni e 3 edifici-simbolo diventano ispirazione per la prossima collezione estiva, elaborando il concetto di luce, luminosità e trasparenza, in un viaggio che parte da Fucecchio -casa di DROMe- e fa il giro del mondo, sperimentando e perfezionando nuovi materiali di costruzione e tecniche di progettazione nella sua ricerca per sintetizzare il vestire contemporaneo.

One way per Bilbao. Come le superfici riflettenti in titanio del Guggenheim Museum, la nuova pelle è trattata a specchio e tagliata al laser. E’ traforata con un motivo di palmette ispirato ai disegni della carta da parati anni 50-60 nei crop-top e nelle mini-skirt. Ha un effetto see-through fatto di trafori come fossero finestre, piuttosto che attraverso tessuti trasparenti, nei fori geometrici a micro rettangolo ed esagonali, tipo rete, oppure più morbidi con disegno a onde.

Come Frank Gehry, DROMe continua nella ricerca di associazioni di materiali inediti: la pelle è accoppiata col denim nei top, nelle mini-gonne vertiginose e negli abiti completamente perforati che lasciano intravedere coulotte e fasce dorate. L’aspetto tecnico diventa decor negli inserti di pelle a specchio sui capi di nappa unita o anche come maxi frange.

Scalo a Praga. Come in ogni collezione DROMe, un certo sapore bon ton rimane ma solo per la pulizia dei materiali e di alcune forme più classiche. La silhouette è allungata, meno girlie e più maschile, quasi a richiamare “La Casa Danzante” della repubblica ceca. Forme a rasoio e aereodinamiche pensate per pezzi polifunzionali: parka e gilet mannish sono rivisitati in chiave glam con decorativismi geometrici ispirati all’architettura contemporanea e con nuances inusuali.

La camicia è regina incontrastata dei top: over, stampata a righe pin-stripe, unita e traforata con inserti di rouches, oppure stampata con motivi wallpaper vagamente fifties.

Le gonne sono longuette, affusolate, effetto portafoglio, plissettate sotto al ginocchio, in pelle leggerissima effetto seta, con drappeggi ed inserti multi-layers.

Inserti di rouches impertinenti appaiono nei capi più imprevedibili compreso il biker jacket e dettagli sportivi come zip spalmate ton su ton o macro-zip in plastica fanno capolino su bomber, bluse e giacche smoking.

Andata e ritorno a New York. La palette colore è chiarissima, luminosa e brillante dai toni candidi del gelato e del sorbetto con tocchi di oro effetto specchio riflettente, come i riverberi del sole sul Beekman Tower, nel Lower Manhattan.

Il bianco impera su tutto accostato spesso al blu e al nero. I colori sorbetto come rosa Gum, Verde Freshmint, giallo Lemon-grass, azzurro e cipria sono abbinati a toni più intensi come il verde Playground e l’orange.

Come il rivestimento del grattacielo che imita il drappeggio di un tessuto attraverso pannelli ondulati di acciaio, gli accessori hanno lavorazioni 3-D, con la pelle che imita la seta. Le borse diventano pochette da sera in oro o nappa glitter, oppure piccole squared bag effetto scatolina in tricolore, mentre lo zainetto da school-girl è spigoloso e geometrico, in nappa mirror oppure a stampa onde.

Materiali. Tutta pelle: Plongè, Nappa light, Nappa Supersilky, Nappa Mirror, Sporty calf, Paper nappa, Nappa stampa Onde, Nappa pinstripe, Plongè stretch, Suede, Silky same light, Bondede nappa denim.

Colori. Glaze, Black, Deepsea, Freshmint, Lemongrass, Gum, Pulp, Playground, Orange, Marble Drop.

A journey through Deconstructivism, shots from the world masterpieces of contemporary architecture, the unsteady geometry of pure, disjointed and decomposed shapes. Marianna Rosati, designer of DROMe collection, puts the world of Frank Gehry, her favorite architect, in her “Ready-to-wear made in leather only”: 3 destinations and 3 symbolic buildings inspire her next summer collection, where the concept of  light, brightness and transparency are developed.

A journey leaving from Fucecchio – DROMe’s home – for a world tour, experimenting and refining new construction materials and project techniques, in a research on the synthesis of contemporary clothing.

One way to Bilbao. As the titanium reflecting surfaces of Guggenheim Museum, the new leather is mirror-shine-treated and laser-cut. In crop-tops and mini-skirts, it is perforated with a palm pattern recalling wallpapers of the ’50s and ’60s. A see-through effect is reached by means of window-like perforations, or sheer fabrics, net-like micro rectangular and hexagonal geometrical holes, or wave pattern smoother ones.

As Frank Gehry, DROMe carries on its research on material associations never seen before: leather is bonded with denim in its tops, breathtaking mini-skirts and thoroughly perforated dresses, under which panties and golden bands can be seen. The technical feature becomes a décor element in mirror-shine leather inserts on plain nappa leather apparel, or as maxi fringes.

Stopover in Prague. As in each DROMe collection, a certain bon ton touch is kept. But only as for clean materials and some more classical shapes.

The silhouette is longer, less girlie and more male, as if “The Dancing House” of the Czech Republic were recalled.

Razor-cut and aerodynamic shapes meant for multipurpose pieces: mannish parka and gilets are revisited in a glam key by means of geometrical decorations inspired by contemporary architecture, with unusual nuances.

Shirts are the unchallenged protagonists among upper clothing: over, pinstripe printed, plain and perforated with ruched inserts, or printed with patterns which vaguely recall the ’50s.

As for skirts: spindly longuette styles, portfolio-like, pleated under the knee, in extremely light and silk-like leather, with multi-layers draperies and inserts.

Bold ruched inserts appear on the most unpredictable pieces, such as biker-jackets, whereas smart details, such as tone on tone spread zippers or plastic macro zippers, turn out on bomber jackets, blouses and tuxedo jackets.

Round trip to New York. The range of colors is very light, bright and brilliant, with its shades as clear as ice-creams or sorbets, with a touch of gold in its mirror-like reflective effects, such as the glare of the sun on Beekman Tower in Lower Manhattan.

White dominates on everything, while often matched with black and blue. Sorbet colors, such as gum rose, fresh mint green, lemongrass yellow, azure and powder pink, are combined with more intense shades, such as playground green and orange.

As the covers of the skyscraper recalling the draperies of a fabric by means of steel waved panels, the accessories have undergone 3D processing techniques: leather imitates silk. Bags become glitter nappa leather or gold night clutch bags, or small tricolor box-like square bags, while the schoolgirl rucksack is square and geometrical, in mirror-shine or wave printed nappa leather.
