Vika Gazinskaya Fall Winter 2014.
Per l’autunno/inverno 2014, Vika Gazinskaya esplora concetti di mascolinità nella femminilità, sport e romanticismo, e la generazione di energia e potenza.
La poesia onesta e sincera della legenda del rock sovietico (1980-90’s) Victor Tsoi attraversa tutti i capi della collezione: ‘Death is worth living, love is worth waiting for’.
L’architettura sovietica e il suo forte impatto visivo e i gli artisti rivoluzionari del 1920 sono evidenti influenze e ispirazione per la silhouette e il mood del design.
Balze morbide si appoggiano su rigorose, silhouette squadrate. Tatuaggi old-school diventano stampe su abiti iper femminili. Fiocchi a forma di petali e vestiti sono contrapposti a cappellini da baseball, sneaker e felpe con cappuccio. Spalle scoperte da tagli sugli abiti mostrano una donna forte che allo stesso tempo crede nel “true love”. Tutto questo è ulteriormente enfatizzato dalle frasi-tattoo sul tessuto: ‘Life is just a word, there is only love and death.’
Per l’autunno/inverno 2014 l’accurata selezione dei materiali ha portato all’uso di sete, cotone, lana e cashmere.
Vika propone anche una sua alternativa alla pelliccia (un punto fermo della sua collezione), quest’anno presenta il “vegan shearling” che è stato tinto a mano per raggiungere un fantastico effetto sbiadito di shatush.

For Autumn/Winter 2014, Vika Gazinskaya explores concepts of masculinity in femininity, sports and romance, and the generation of energy and power. The honest, sincere poetry of the 1980s- 90s era Soviet rock legend Victor Tsoi is emblazoned across garments in the collection, for example: ‘Death is worth living, love is worth waiting for’. Stark Soviet architecture and revolutionary Soviet artists of the 1920s influence the silhouette and mood of the designs.
Soft flounces hang on strict, rectangular silhouettes. Old-school tattoos are printed on feminine dresses and gowns. Petal bows and gowns are juxtaposed with baseball caps, sneakers and hoodies. Cut-out shoulders on a feminine gown demonstrate a strong woman, who at the same time still believes in true love. This is further emphasized by tattoo phrases on the garments, such as ‘Life is just a word, there is only love and death.’
For Autumn/Winter 2014 the carefully selected fabrics are mainly silks, with some cotton, wool and cashmere. Vika also offers an alternative to fur – a signature of the collection – this season in a ‘vegan shearling’, which has been hand-dyed to achieve a stunning faded-ombre effect.
