CULTURE CHANEL The Sense of Places : Una mostra – dal 30 Agosto fino al 5 Ottobre, 2014 al Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Seoul.

Il DDP di Seul ospiterà questa ricchissima mostra intitolata “The Sense of Places”. Questo museo del design è stato inaugurato a Marzo 2014 ed è un capolavoro dell’architettura firmato da Zaha Hadid.

Anche questa mostra è stata curata da Jean Louis Froment, il curatore della precedenti edizioni di Culture Chanel, che sono state organizzate al Moscow’s Pushkin State Museum for Fine Arts nel 2007, e più recentemente a Shanghai al  Museum of Contemporary Art e a Pechino al National Art Museum of China nel 2011 e ancora nel 2013 alla Opera House a Guangzhou e al Palais de Tokyo a Parigi.

The Sense of Places è un approccio al linguaggio creativo di Chanel attraverso il luoghi e i posti che hanno ispirato Gabrielle Chanel.

Ognuna delle 10 sequenze della mostra illustra un particolare punto della storia della vita di Mademoiselle Chanel, e la mostra cerca di mettere in luce le forti influenze che questi luoghi – in cui ha vissuto e che ha amato – hanno avuto nel formare il suo linguaggio e il suo stile.

Da Aubazine a Deauville, da Parigi a Venezia, Gabrielle Chanel traccia in contorni del suo mondo arricchendoli con immagini e ricordi dei luoghi. Oltre 500 oggetti fra fotografie, libri, oggetti personali, manoscritti, archivi e disegni insieme a moda, gioielli, orologi e profumi ricostruiscono la storia e la vita di questa figura chiave del mondo della moda (e non solo) che ha lasciato un segno indelebile. Questa mostra rivela il vero spirito di Chanel attraverso un sottile gioco di corrispondenze, e in un modo molto originale illumina la vita reale e l’immaginario di una delle più rivoluzionarie menti creative del 20° secolo.

Kiko Mizuhara wore a blue, red and white dress with star sequins, look 63, from the Paris-Dallas 2013/14 collection. She was carrying a blue metallic bag and wearing a silver and crystal bracelet and a silver and black necklace.

Soo-Joo Park wore a black laced jumpsuit, look 3,and a black tweed and linen jacket from the Cruise 2015 collection. She was carrying a gold leather bag and wearing black leather pumps.

The K Pop singer G-Dragon wore a navy/multi-color cardigan and washed coated denim the Cruise 2015 collection. He was wearing pearl necklaces and a denim hat from Paris-Dallas collection and sunglasses.

The K Pop singer CL wore a black velvet dress, look 79, from the Paris-Dallas 2013/14 collection. She was wearing black cuffs and was carrying a gold metallic clutch.
