Questa estate per Jean Paul Gaultier è l’estate degli anni 90’s.
I colori forti si scontrano in match di grafismi all’ultimo tono. Blocchi di colore si schiantano spavaldi con la raffinatezza del pizzo –“ trompe l’œil ” a pois– o con le stampe di questa stagione:
Le margherite gocciolanti, con fiori come fuochi d’artificio su un fondo nero, una reinterpretazione di un vestito del 1995 e come ospiti speciali Pierre & Gilles con il loro famoso ritratto.
L’egiziana, con geroglifici trattati come strisce di fumetti, dove i faraoni indossano kilt e top bretoni in sovrapposizione, e i papiri si trasformano in tessuti.
Lo spirito Memphis, si può trovare anche nei tagli geometrici dei vestiti indossati con sovrapposizioni, come grembiuli indossati con pantaloni carota.
Allacciature da corsetto utilizzati in look sportivi con un effetto bondage sulle gambe dei pantaloni o sulle maniche dei bomber, il gessato alla marinara su patchwork di jersey su top e shirt, mentre i kilt sono indossati “summer style”, aperti sul davanti e legati in vita.
Per la sera, i geroglifici vengono incorporati in borchie o contaminano la sciarpa da smoking su di un top con la schiena scoperta.
This summer, the Jean Paul Gaultier Men collection celebrates the 90’s.
Juxtaposition of strong colors plays a graphical game. Block colors are clashing in a bold attitude with the sophistication of the lace –“ trompe l’œil ” polka dot – or the happy prints of the season :
The Dripping Daisies, with flowers as a firework on a black background, re-interpretation of a 1995 dress. And as Special Guests, Pierre & Gilles with their famous portrait.
The Egyptian, with hieroglyphs treated like a comic strip, where pharaohs are wearing kilts and Breton tops and the cartouches are turned into textile labels.
The Memphis spirit, already inspiring the color cards, can also be found in the geometrical cuts of clothes worn in superposition, like aprons worn with carrot pants.
Corsetry lacing is used in a sporty way for a bondage effect on pants legs or bombers jackets sleeves, the sailor stripe is displayed on jersey patchwork on tops or shirts, whilst the kilts are worn “Summer Style”, open on the front and tied at the waist.
For the evening, the hieroglyphs “get embedded” in studs, or invade the smoking scarf of a naked back top.
Pour cet été, la collection Homme Jean Paul Gaultier retrouve le vocabulaire des années 90.
Les couleurs franches se juxtaposent, tout un jeu graphique de couleurs primaires qui viennent affronter sans complexe le côté sophistiqué de la dentelle – traité en pois “ trompe l’œil ” – ou les imprimés forts de la saison :
L’imprimé Marguerite Fondante, comme un feu d’artifice sur fond noir, réinterprétation d’une robe de 1995. Et en clin d’œil la reprise du portrait de Pierre et Gilles.
L’imprimé Égyptien, avec ses hiéroglyphes traités façon BD, où les pharaons portent kilt et marinière et leur cartouches sont revisités façon étiquette textile.
L’Esprit Memphis, déjà présent dans la gamme de couleurs, se retrouve dans les coupes géométriques des pièces portées en superposition, comme ces pièces tabliers portées sur les pantalons carotte.
Le laçage des corsets vient s’appliquer cette saison aux jambes des pantalons comme aux manches des bombers, la rayure de la marinière se retrouve sur les tops ou chemises, voire disparait progressivement des costumes tandis que les kilts sont portés version Été, ouverts devant et noués à la taille.
Et pour un nouveau soir, les hiéroglyphes “ s’incrustent ” en version cloutée ou en écharpe smoking portée sur top dos nu.
