Ispirato dall’abbigliamento usato dalle ballerine durante le prove, la collezione rompe i codici e gli elementi iconici della cultura del balletto reinterpretandoli.

La collezione incarna l’elemento del movimento. La contrapposizione fra pezzi strutturati sul corpo e altri più fluidi e morbidi crea un’inaspettata eleganza. La natura femminile della collezione porta in primo piano la naturale forma del corpo della donna. Continui riferimenti alla meticolosa natura del guardaroba delle ballerine si stratificano sulla silhouette rilassata di questa stagione.

Elementi giocosi sono rintracciabili in motivi aggraziati quali il cigno e le piume sono al contempo delicati e eleganti.

Viktor&Rolf’s Resort 2015 collection, Bodyworks, takes you from the heart of the performance to the behind the scene confines of the intimate ballet studio. Inspired by the rehearsal apparel of ballerinas, the collection breaks down the elements of performance and forms a strong re-interpretation of the traditional ballet culture.

The collection embodies the element of movement. The active juxtaposition between body conscious and fluid pieces creates an underlying and unexpected elegance. The feminine nature of the collection brings forth the natural shape of the female physique. Layering throughout the collection references the meticulous nature of the ballet wardrobe and engineers this season’s easy silhouette. Single garments give the effect of layering and embellishments reference the graceful performance aspect of the ballet. Playful elements are traced in the feminine motifs with the introduction of the swan and the feather, which are both delicate and elegant at their core.

The contrast of unusual fabric and colour combinations create a bold and unexpected colour palette.These accents of salamander, canary yellow and turquoise counteract the softness of pale lavender, pale yellow, mint and nude.

The collection is complemented by a wide range of accessories that each highlight different facets of the ballerina’s demeanour. This season’s main shoe style is inspired by the classical men’s brogue detailing and features an enlarged laser cut pattern that creates an air of surrealism.
