Ospite dal 6 all’8 maggio al Museo internazionale delle marionette A. Pasqualino Nico Vascellari. Tra le proiezioni delle serate, da segnalare, “Ciò che sempre parla in silenzio è il corpo” di Alighiero Boetti I nomi di riferimento del video contemporaneo, e come ospite delle tre serate Nico Vascellari, giovane artista di fama internazionale: il 6, 7, 8 maggio al Museo internazionale delle marionette Antonio Pasqualino torna la seconda edizione del Festival Finzioni-Videoracconti contemporanei, ideato da Paola Nicita e Rosario Perricone, a cura di Paola Nicita. La rassegna, attraverso una selezione di opere visive, vuole essere una traccia per una riflessione sul senso del narrare, o anche sul sovvertimento delle sue regole. Quest’anno il Festival Finzioni avviato con due delle realtà più interessanti dell’arte contemporanea internazionale, il Kasseler Dokfest, uno dei più importanti festival che da oltre un trentennio propone esclusivamente videoarte, e con il Castello di Rivoli, realtà d’eccellenza tra i musei d’arte contemporanea internazionali.
Ospite di questa seconda edizione è Nico Vascellari nome di rilievo dell’arte contemporanea internazionale (si ricorda la sua esibizione personale in occasione della Biennale d’Arti Visive di Venezia nel 2007) che per ciascuna serata introdurrà un suo lavoro video, discutendo i temi principali della sua ricerca. Muovendosi tra performance, video, musica e installazioni, il lavoro artistico di Nico Vascellari rappresenta un’analisi sulla contemporaneità realizzata attraverso metodologie rituali, nelle quali il linguaggio della narrazione viene continuamente rielaborato realizzando un forte dialogo con il pubblico-fruitore. Il focus sull’artista sarà l’occasione per una narrazione che tra parole e immagini restituirà il senso della ricerca di nuove strutture espressive. Così, proseguendo il gioco dei rimandi dedicati a Jorge Luis Borges, le tre serate seguiranno altrettante indicazioni della “Tassonomia dell’Emporio Celeste di conoscimenti benevoli” contenuta nella raccolta Altre Inquisizioni, e avranno protagonisti: video dell’Imperatore, video disegnati con un pennello finissimo di pelo di cammello, video che da lontano sembrano mosche. Il festival Finzioni permetterà di scoprire alcuni dei nomi più interessanti del panorama internazionale, alcuni già diventati dei classici insieme ad altri ancora giovani, protagonisti con opere legate ad una narrazione, per struttura o per esplicito riferimento ad un particolare testo scritto, dove la letteratura diviene pre-testo per volgere lo sguardo sull’invenzione di nuovi mondi, ricostruendo le categorie dell’esistenza. Tra i video proposti va sicuramente segnalato Ciò che sempre parla in silenzio è il corpo di Alighiero Boetti, realizzato durante la performance dell’artista alla Biennale di Venezia del 1974. Un documento rarissimo, che viene mostrato come omaggio ad uno degli artisti più rivoluzionari dell’arte contemporanea. Boetti invitava a riflettere, vergando la frase sul muro durante una performance di “scrittura a due mani”. La struttura di base su cui si sviluppa questo tipo di performance, consiste nello scrivere una frase, contemporaneamente, con la mano destra e con la sinistra a simulare uno specchio. Tra gli altri, saranno proiettati video di William Kentridge, Eva Marisaldi, Armin Linke e Amedeo Martegani, Ciprì e Maresco, Pipilotti Rist, Anna Berger, Ketty La Rocca, Vedovamazzei, Rita Casdia, Robert Gligorov, Gordon Matta-Clark, Alberto Signetto, Oliver Pitch, Cosimo Terlizzi, Alighiero Boetti, Dara Birnbaum, Mike Stubbs. Anche quest’anno, grazie alla sensibile attenzione di Marianne Vibaek Pasqualino, le ombre e le marionette, i pupi e le tante vite appese ai fili, pronti a raccontare la loro storia, saranno ideali compagni di viaggio per scoprire il mondo delle immagini in movimento, sempre pronte a regalare emozioni e indicare nuove possibilità dello sguardo.
