Max Mara presents the Spring Summer 2024 collection of the Tailored Suit Project. The focus of the project is the canvassed jacket: perfect, quintessential and authentically classic.

The star of every look: the jacket is versatile and adaptable for a complete look, but also works for separates. The jacket becomes the trusted travel companion, transcending the various situations throughout the day, adapting to different moments via a simple change of accessories.

The quality of the Max Mara canvassed jacket comes from the connection with the tradition of men’s tailoring, requiring 345 minutes of work, twice as long as the standard time. The use of a canvas interlining, the 130 hand-sewn stitches around the armhole and the patient work of ironing ensure that the jacket moulds naturally to the female figure, enhancing any look.

For Spring Summer there are seven new models: double -or single- breasted, the simple jacket with a feminine silhouette and the super-soft jacket, whose deconstructed full-canvas construction is so light that it feels like a shirt. Made to match with slim leg trousers or wide leg with pleats.

For this season, the search for fabric focuses on solid colour and iridescent wool and mohair, solid colour and melange effect wool and silk, pure wool melange and pinstriped wool. The refined fabrics and attention to detail, such as the champagne-coloured lining, make the jacket extremely feminine.

The colour palette ranges from stark black and white to the season’s new colours inspired by the nuances of wildflowers belonging to Scandinavian tradition. Therefore mint, nigella, alchemical ladyies mantle, cornflower, primrose, and the various tones of the rose and neutral colours connected with the tradition of men’s tailoring, such as beige, tan, sand, light and dark greys, and blues.

For Chinese New Year 2024 the Tailored Suit Project presents a red jacket distinguished by a special lining dedicated to the Year of the Dragon.
