The Kenzo x Verdy Wardrobe

KENZO and Artistic Director Nigo are partnering with the artist VERDY, who created custom graphics for the House’s Spring/Summer 2024 runway collection, unveiled during the latest Men’s Fashion Week in Paris – VERDY’s motifs were also presented during the brand’s repeat fashion show in Shanghai last July.

The collection will be launched at an exclusive KENZO pop-up store on the Champs-Élysées in Paris from December 2nd to December 17th and at 10 Corso Como in Seoul from December 16th to December 26th acting as a symbolic ‘East Meets West’ bridge for the house.
A close friend of Nigo’s, VERDY is a Japanese graphic artist whose bold, playful designs and vibrant colors frequently explore themes of youth culture, rebellion and nostalgia. His work with influences ranging from skateboarding, hip-hop and manga, has been described as a fusion of Japanese and Western streetwear, making VERDY the perfect creative addition to the East-meets-West vibe that Nigo has envisioned for the brand.

The signature font used by VERDY will be seen emblazoned across a selection of garments for the holiday season, selected from the Spring/Summer 2024 collection designed by Nigo. Revisited by VERDY, spelt-out branding including ‘Kenzo’, ‘KENZO Paris’, ‘18 Rue Vivienne’ or ‘1970’ is applied on woven, knit, denim and leather pieces and accessories.

On the menswear side, a short black windbreaker with allover white logo is complemented with a navy knitted jumper and vest – also with an allover white logo. Jersey pieces include a varsity black & white cardigan with ‘KP’ on the chest and ‘Kenzo Paris’ across the back. A black sweatshirt with the same ‘Kenzo Paris’ logo blown up at the
front is also available in white with blue lettering. Oversized T-shirts in black or white are presented with maxi logos in red or white (‘KP’, “KENZO Paris’, ’18 Rue Vivienne’) at the front and on the back.

The KENZO x VERDY collection for Women includes a navy knitted jumper, a cardigan and a skirt that feature the ‘KENZO Paris’ allover logo. The jersey line proposes a pink polo dress and an off-white cropped hoodie, both bearing the allover ‘KENZO Paris’ logo. A cropped boxy T-shirt in black, white and pink, as well as a loose T-shirt in pink or white, feature the macro logo across the chest. Black and pink sweatshirts, as well as a classic varsity cardigan in off-white with red logo round out the jersey offer.

Wearable by all, a hoodie in black has a white maxi front logo and comes in off-white with a red logo. A navy knitted cardigan bears the all-over ‘KENZO Paris’ logo in white and blue. A leather motorcycle jacket and a Varsity jacket both bearing maxi logos (’18 Rue Vivienne’ and ‘KP’ on the chest and ‘Kenzo Paris’ across the back) enrich the genderless wardrobe. The jersey section comprises hoodies, jogging pants and oversized T-shirts, in a combination of white with allover red logo or black with a white logo.
