CHANEL ambassador Lily-Rose Depp is the new face of the Coco Neige 2023/24 collection.
Playing on the world of ice skating, photographer Mikael Jansson shot the young Franco-American actress wearing sophisticated, highly technical outfits. Illustrating the natural alliance between sport and fashion, this campaign showcases a youthful, feminine line designed for ski slopes and dance floors alike.
Lily-Rose embodies an ice skater under the limelight, after training and out in the evening, with equal aplomb. “When I heard that we were going to be shooting at an ice-skating rink, I couldn’t help but think of Ice Princess, this movie I used to watch all the time when I was a little girl and I’d think, I want to be an ice skater too! I never quite pursued the dream, but I loved that movie,” she confides.
Wearing ice skates, the CHANEL ambassador posed in a tight-fitting gold lamé jumpsuit, a technical satin ski-suit with a shearling hood as well as a printed velvet outfit. “The best part of the shoot was getting to explore the collection in such a fun space and getting on the skates. Even if I’m not the best ice skater in the world, it was really fun,” she adds.
Under the spotlight, a dominant palette of black and white is enlivened with splashes of colour such as fuchsia pink and gold. The spirit of CHANEL is very much in evidence, as it is in the pieces in the collection.

“I love how Virginie Viard always reinvents the codes of CHANEL, but in different ways,” Lily-Rose Depp continues. “Like the chain pattern on my sweater or a really cute little skirt that has a gold chain motif reminiscent of the jewelled belts and the costume jewellery. I love the way we get so attached to these patterns and we associate them with CHANEL, they’re so timeless and iconic.”
The CHANEL Coco Neige 2023/24 collection will be available from 17th October.
