MONTBLANC: The Library Spirit

Montblanc. The Library Spirit: Episodes From Around The World.
3029

Montblanc’s global campaign celebrates the inspiring power of bookcases and libraries in cities around the world, from Milan to London, from New York to Shanghai with a special event in New York. Among the guests who took part in the night: Peggy Gou, Chloë Sevigny, Adrien Brody, Ernia, Sveva Alviti, Carlo Sestini, Stella Maxwell, Alex Pettyfer, Derek Blasberg, Penn Badgley, Liya Kebede.

The origins of the House are deeply rooted in the culture of writing: getting lost in the bookshelves is an opportunity to be inspired by the power of words stored in thousands of pages, develop new ideas and stimulate the imagination.

The latest chapter of The Library Spirit campaign, is an invitation to discover the dynamic identities of New York and Shanghai through their literary spaces and explorers who venture into the shelves in search of new ideas and inspirations. Whether it’s Milan, London, Paris, New York or Shanghai, the libraries in each city of the world have a unique charm, spirit and expressive style that reflects where they are.

“Libraries and bookcases offer a fascinating and fascinating look at the soul of a city, a country, a culture. This campaign has brought us all over the world because, even though words have universal power, every city suffers different influences, which find expression in libraries. The people who live there have unique personalities and styles, but Montblanc is always there to accompany them on their journey of discovery.” Marco Tomasetta, Artistic Director of the Maison.

The campaign was set in the iconic New York Public Library in Midtown Manhattan, the historic Beaux-Art building that houses a large collection of books and maps and is also home to the famous Rose Main Reading Room. The other location of the countryside, a modern loft in the West Village, enhances the desk as a personal and intimate space dedicated to reading books, the birth of ideas and their subsequent development on paper.

“This episode of The Library Spirit has a particular charm, because the philosophy of the Maison has much in common with that of New York: Montblanc’s pioneering spirit is the same that drives New Yorkers to set new standards with bold and original ideas.” Marco Tomasetta, Artistic Director of Montblanc.

This campaign was created by internationally renowned photographer Mariano Vivanco, starring the American model Garrett Neff and Liya Kebede, a model of Ethiopian origin, actress and owner of a bookstore.
