The first Louis Vuitton Café by Timeo and the new store in Taormina, Sicily Vuitton is pleased to announce a new destination in Sicily with the opening of a new store in Taormina on July 30, 2023 and the first café signed by the Maison in Italy. In the historical context of the idyllic Sicilian town, the store will host the new men’s and women’s collections and the Louis Vuitton Café by Timeo on the first floor. The new combination will bring a breath of freshness and offer an unprecedented experience hand in glove with the Spirit of Travel, the soul of the Maison for over 160 years.
From the ground floor to the first floor of the new store, customers will discover all the métiers within a bright and intimate space, with details in white oak and natural wood. The vintage furnishings and design objects mix perfectly with details inspired by the aesthetics of the area such as the raffia wallpaper and the Sicilian Maiolic carpets. The glass shelves suspended with natural fiber ropes lend lightness to the sophisticated environment, while a bas-relief inspired by the Sicilian landscape runs along the staircase. The store also offers the perfect setting for LV By The Pool, a collection that ranges from clothing to bags, footwear, accessories, furnishings and much more. In shades of blue that evoke open skies and the depths of the ocean, the Monogram is reinvented as a decorative mosaic motif, both as a watercolor effect and as a graphic arrangement. Customers will also be able to discover the exclusive Taormina Neverfull bag, a version of the famous model sold exclusively in the store.
The Café on the first floor conveys even more clearly the concept of lifestyle embodied by the LV by the Pool collection. The tableware and textiles blend perfectly with the interior design. The Café has a dedicated entrance, dominated by Louis Vuitton codes embellished with Sicilian taste. Large plants and the Bulbo armchair immediately evoke a florid and creative atmosphere. Under a canopy of undulating fabrics with a wide view of the sea, the room opens up, completed by an external wall covered with ceramic tiles with graphic motifs in blue, a bold expression in harmony with the colors of the water. The 14 seats available create an intimate space where you can stop for a relaxing break.
Managed by the team at the Grand Hotel Timeo of Belmond, the Café will be an elegant and sophisticated oasis, with all-day service and two menus: savory and sweet. Each menu has been designed to offer guests light and summery options that reflect the local flavors and specialities: from a croissant with pistachio cream and a light lemon puff, to arancini filled with ragù, a ricotta cannolo and a mini parmigiana, as well as small Sicilian desserts. The aperitif by reservation from 18.00 to 22.00 (until 23.00 on Fridays and Saturdays). An à la carte menu and a special drink menu are available throughout the day.
