The Prada Tropico Pop-up Store, dedicated to a special selection of men’s and women’s ready to wear, bags, footwear and accessories, features a striking contrast of white and blue, accentuated by lighting effects and striped patterns.
It revisits the brand’s visual hallmarks in a contemporary style, taking inspiration from imaginary far-off worlds.
The space at the Es More in Formentera, pairs the austere rationality of a pure, right-angled design with the pop flavour of elements like neon lights, which are used for the name of the brand and the iconic triangle logo. The floor continues the effect of the stripes on the walls, while exotic timber furniture imbues the atmosphere with a relaxing quality.
This evocative space showcases a range of men’s and women’s products, mixing different themes with new interpretations of the brand’s iconic motifs. Clean essential items echo the ease of summer through popeline shirts, light long dresses, polished beachwear as well as numerous accessories in light-toned colors and geometric motifs.
Spontaneous and sophisticated, the ready-to-wear selection alternates relaxed linen and popeline pieces in clear white, blue and neutral tones with patterns and classic marinière stripes. For women, the classic shirt becomes an evening-length gown; for men, a tunic to the knee. A play of proportion is also a play on perception, challenging the original purpose of pieces, proposing them anew.
Accessories are fused with casual ease: shoes for men are formal loafers, for women sandals or espadrilles. A spectrum of bags slides between different occasion: totes with stripes and geometric prints, alongside the new Prada Arqué, available in black, white and cognac.
