The colors are white, beige, silver, light gold. A shape declined in jacket and coat is structured in the recovery of the folds stopped under the breast, vestimentary evocation of classical statues, reference to the grooves of the columns.
In the atelier there is no paper pattern because the drawn shape becomes a dress that is an imprint, a cast of the uniqueness of a body. Maria Grazia Chiuri carries forward an idea of absolute haute couture. Pearls, a symbol of purity, are the protagonists of many embroideries. Intertwined together with silver threads they send out mother-of-pearl glows. The brilliant textures of the Sixties, reactivated, interpret long skirts and dresses. Wool, cashmere, men’s grisaille are important materials.
The pleat is the absolute protagonist of spectacular dresses, but it also becomes the sleeve of men’s jackets.
