Themoirè unveils the first green sneaker
The Italian brand recognized for its environmental and social responsibility projects, and the leading Italian company in the design and creation of green products with the lowest possible CO2 impact present the new sporty-chic shoe KYMA
For autumn-winter 2023/24, THEMOIRè presents KYMA, its first responsible low CO2 impact sneaker for women, created with the support of ACBC, a leading Italian company in the design and creation of green products with the lowest carbon footprint. CO2 possible. KYMA means “wave” in Greek. The new sporty-chic shoe has been designed and developed in its sinuosity and softness to resume the shapes and comfort that have always characterized THEMOIRè bags. For the launch of the sneaker, a new logo graphic was developed, identified by the T and M in the form of the letters used in Ancient Greece. Even the name THEMOIRè, in fact, is linked to the universe of Greek mythology: just as the Fates intertwined the threads of destiny, so THEMOIRè is committed to a more responsible future.
“We started in 2019 with a collection of bags and since then we have been developing special capsules that can represent the brand’s values. The launch last September of the footwear line was the coherent evolution of the project and symbolizes an invitation to leave a positive impression of our passage on this planet. KYMA marks our debut in the sporty/casual luxury world and, in ACBC, which shares our same values, we have found the ideal partner to deal with this type of footwear. In fact, we are happy to join forces to represent together a new generation and approach in the fashion industry aimed at protecting the environment”, say Francesca Monaco and Salar Bicheranloo, co-founder and Creative Directors of THEMOIRè.
The KYMA shoe is entirely made with responsible materials in its visible and “invisible” components to achieve the highest possible responsible input, without sacrificing durability and quality.
Even the packaging is responsible: made of FSC certified cardboard, it has a self-assembling structure, which excludes the use of glue.
“It was an honor to work with the THEMOIRè team. The project, truly one of a kind, was born thanks to the mutual collaboration between two major Italian companies, known internationally, who know the world of green fashion and its responsible production well. The result is the union between design, quality materials and vision” explains Gio Giacobbe, CEO of ACBC.
KYMA shoes are available in two single-color versions (grey and terracotta) and two multicolor versions (light blue, white and beige or black, white and brown). and will be on sale from next Spring-Summer 2024, starting in February, in stores and online at the-moire.com and acbc.com.
