My name is Daphne and I have a friend called Maria who is brilliant…

On summer afternoons we take refuge in the concert hall mezzanine and enjoy reading the orchestral scores in braille.
Maria can’t imagine how all those instruments can come together to create a single symphony.
Maria plays the piano, and listening to her I think that she is magical. We surreptitiously close the theatre curtains and the lights begin to twinkle between the keys. The strings of the grand piano start to vibrate and the entire space is filled with notes.

In June,  my teacher told me about a writer born in Buenos Aires called Jorges Louis Borges. A disease of the eyes, which he inherited from his father,  left him blind within a few years.  He continued to write, however,  and indeed he that his blindness gave him the possibility to better understand the meaning of infinity.
I, to tell you the truth,  cannot visualise infinity.

I only know that for Maria infinity is blue like her favourite colour…
