After celebrating the first HAUS of Dreamers event with a unique evening of immersive performances in the heart of Venice, on May 22, Golden Goose launches its first Dreamed By collection with Italian architect and designer Fabio Novembre.
HAUS is a global platform for the culture and free expression of the creativity of the brand’s Dreamers community. A place that brings together creatives from different disciplines, identities and backgrounds, establishing its roots in Marghera, the industrial port of Venice, Italy. With HAUS of Dreamers, a series of global events, Golden Goose brings the physical experience of HAUS out of its headquarters in Marghera and to key destinations around the world.
For its first HAUS of Dreamers, Golden Goose has selected five world-renowned multifaceted artists from different backgrounds: Fabio Novembre, Quannah Chasinghorse, Dr. Woo, SUNMI and Suki Waterhouse. The brand has asked each artist to reinterpret the classic Venetian icons, creating unique limited edition collections. Each artist has created a shoe, a prêt-à-porter garment and a unique object linked to his Venetian experience.
In his Dreamed by Fabio Novembre collection, the Italian architect and designer pays homage to the beating heart of the city: the Grand Canal. “We are made of water. And so is the world.” Just as the Grand Canal crosses the city of Venice, a transparent vase is crossed by the line of a heartbeat. A collectible work of art available in 20 limited edition pieces.
Accompanying the vase, the November collection features a striped t-shirt inspired by the gondolier’s uniform with hand-drawn stripes reminiscent of waves. An artisanal treatment applied to the bottom of the t-shirt creates the illusion of Venetian waters. The collection also includes a pair of the iconic Stardan sneakers reinvented as typical Venetian velvet furlane, which feature Fabio’s handwritten phrase on the sole “We are made of water. And so is the world.”
The Dreamed by Fabio Novembre men’s and women’s collection will be launched on June 6 on www.goldengoose.com and in selected stores worldwide. On the same date, the brand celebrates the launch with a private event at the Milan store at 10 Corso Como.
