We started the Milan fashion week by going backstage at Antonio Marras FW23 collection which is dedicated to a strong, courageous woman, determined like her muse Grazia Deledda. We are in Sardinia, in the fairy forest of Burgos where the Babbaiottu lives, half wolf and half wild boar. Between frantic runs to escape the animal, the models’ eyes fill with tears. Maurizio Calabrò, Lead MUA Nars Italia, created a black-edged look with deliberately shaded pencil, eyeshadow and eyeliner.

It is the story of a love story, like the one between Grazia Deledda and her Ducan, which makes your heart burn and your eyes sparkle. Deepest black, tears of love, nude lips and a perfect complexion.

During the second day, Max Mara inspired by the French intellectual Émilie du Châtelet. Also for the beauty look we go back to the 18th century through a romantic hairstylist, characterized by a soft ponytail with small waves that open on the face and a bow behind which gives a twist to the look.

Third day, is Gucci day, the complexion is washed out, slightly warmed on the cheeks. On his eyes there is no makeup, on his lips, some models show off an orange lipstick, not too perfect. And then there’s the exception: only one model has a bold make-up in light blue tones that catches the eye.

Salvatore Ferragamo also perceives a discreet sensuality that highlights the natural faces of the models instead of covering them.

At Missoni, nude make-up brings luminosity to its peak. The rosy cheeks are inspired by the flower of love, the rose, which from the Maison’s archives becomes the symbol of the FW 2024 fashion show.
