A powerful sun emits light from behind an all-consuming curtain. Raffia descends like rain, lightly showering everyone, casting shadows. Sensuality suspended in the air. Finally, the curtain rises to reveal the immensity of the space. The light is overwhelming, and the sun becomes direct, rising and bright. From a highly personal statement to an open-ended evocation of summer and impres- sions of Southern escapes.

Within this transportive staging, the JACQUEMUS codes are explored anew. Craft techniques pro- duce dimensional textures and shapes. Fresh colours combine with natural materials. Fluid sil- houettes and poetic, oversized chapeaux emerge with greater expression.

Simon’s obsessions resurface and play out in multiple themes, each as a trio of men’s and wo- men’s looks that convey a sensual contrast of drama and ease. Natural raffia fibres are transformed through savoir-faire: hand-embroidered by Maison Lesage, woven like fabric on a tailored jacket, left raw and applied for shaggy volume, as strands laced into jeans, cascading from bags, and car- peting the underfoot of shoes.

Embellishments can be found throughout: loops of tonal grosgrain defining the décolleté; minia- ture tassels staggered across see-through mesh; matte sequins in colourful spirals; le rond carré (circle square) embroideries glinting from knits; and large marble beads that are at once artisanal and playful. The beach returns through draped body-skimming. Bikinis merge with day-to-night dresses and men’s tank tops are adorned with embroidered accents. Denim treatments introduce a youthful counterpoint, where vibrant ensembles and silver-coated jeans take cue from the early 2000s.

“Le Raphia” channels the sensations of summer alongside the return to an artisanal spirit. From oversized shawls and enveloped boots to looks constructed like couture, this generous and free-spirited wardrobe stands out for its embrace of contemporary craft. This season marks the debut of Le Bisou, a slim and curvy bag that can be worn on the shoulder and in hand. Proposed in a JACQUEMUS palette of vivid and softened tones, the bag arrives in several animations.
