Tod’s announces a collaboration for men and women focused on two iconic Tod’s products, reinterpreted by Palm Angels for Moncler Genius.

The “Tod’s x 8 Moncler Palm Angels” project is part of Tod’s-FACTORY, a creative laboratory for established and emerging designers who are invited to offer a new point of view on the DNA of the Tod’s brand. As part of Moncler Genius, Tod’s teams up with Palm Angels and chooses to collaborate with Francesco Ragazzi, the brand’s creative director.

The collaboration is inspired by the world of American sport and the reinterpretation of the historic Gommino mixes Pop elements with Italian taste and craftsmanship, for which Tod’s is known throughout the world. In the same spirit, elements of mountain sportswear are re-mixed in the sophisticated W.G., a new version of the iconic Winter Gommino, which now has the details of a snow boot and the volume of a mountaineering boot. The mountain iconography is combined with the craftsmanship, the preciousness of the materials and the technological innovation of an all-Italian boot.

The hedonistic and luminous spirit of 90s Miami lives again in the new 8 Moncler Palm Angels campaign photographed by Philadelphia rising star Quil Lemons, with supermodel, philanthropist and style icon Naomi Campbell.

Francesco Ragazzi’s passion for American culture translates into the sporting inspiration of a colorful and vibrant collection, framed by the coasts of Miami. Naomi Campbell poses with an irreverent attitude and a defiant gaze: the Keon gold jacket reveals an almost rebellious allure when paired with gold sweatpants on the sunbed. The images also emphasize the collaboration with Tod’s. Between deck chairs and sunny basketball courts, Gommino loafers with inlays and flamboyant motifs infuse a playful touch to the look, while the W.G., evolution of the iconic Winter Gommino, appears on trampolines and piers overlooking the sea.

It’s a playful version of a collection perfectly symbolized by the Moncler logo with palm tree: summer is a state of mind, even in winter.
