Timeless, instantly recognisable and yet different every time, this fall CHANEL eyewear is all about an emblematic chain and leather.
The metal chain intertwined with leather is reinterpreted along the temples of two pairs of acetate sunglasses: a softened square frame and a high square frame. It also features as lacquered metal combined with white or black patent leather, in gold metal with black leather, or in ruthenium and brown leather on a tortoiseshell frame.
A black cat-eye optical design completes this line, and is also available with blue light lenses.
Leather is the focus of the second chapter of the Fall 2022 collection. Like the gathered elastic belts of the Ready-to-Wear collections, it swathes the temples of the acetate sunglasses in oversized square, rectangle and hexagon shapes. To reproduce the spirit of this belt as precisely as possible in the format of the temples, the leather had to be thinned, pleated and then sewn by hand. Placed between the acetate and the leather or applied along the entire height of the temples, a double C signs these two-tone or monochrome frames.
Finally, a new aviator frame in silver or gold metal comes adorned with slender temples covered with ecru or black leather, and is available as an optical version or with blue light lenses. The Fall 2022 eyewear collection will be available in boutiques from mid-June.
Painted in white or the royal blue of the silhouettes from the 2021/22 Métiers d’art collection, the double C features like graffiti on the black acetate of two pairs of sunglasses, a narrow rectangular and a square shape. The letters of CHANEL in white or fuchsia tainted metal are cut out in relief on the temples of these two designs completed with smoky lenses.
The glasses from the 2021/22 Métiers d’art collection will be available in boutiques from June 20th 2022.
