The 2021/22 Métiers d’art collection was first unveiled last December at le19M, the new Parisian building imagined by CHANEL and dedicated to the Fashion Métiers d’art.
Artistic craftsmanship is anchored in the history of Florence, rich with a cultural heritage and ancestral savoir-faire, still very much alive today. Nearly seven years after the 2015/16 Métiers d’art show was held at the legendary Cinecittà studios in Rome, this new show reaffirms CHANEL’s close ties with Italy. This relationship, initiated by Gabrielle Chanel, continues in part thanks to the Italian factories acquired by the House: integrated into the circle of the Fashion Métiers d’art, shoemakers, leather workers, tanneries and thread manufacturers bring their expertise to the service of creation.
A veritable tribute to the savoir-faire of the Métiers d’art, this show will once again demonstrate CHANEL’s commitment to the influence of this exceptional artisanal heritage around the world.
