Benvenuti nel mondo incantato della mitica Costantinopoli dell’antichità, la perla del Medio Oriente, il gioiello dei Dardanelli.

Per questa stagione Yazbukey è partita da un distillato dell’immaginario della cultura popolare turca, con uno sguardo pop, le sue produzioni ottomane ci conducono nel cuore di Instabul, dove incontriamo un gruppo di curiosi personaggi: Mata-Hari in incognito che si è infiltrata nell’harem del Palazzo Topkapi per rubare il tesoro del sultano, pensierosi fumatori di hookah giocano a backgammon, un indovino che conosce i segreti dell’epoche passate, un incantatore di serpenti…

I tesori di Yazbukey…sciarpe, clutch, borse, collane e altri accessori, riflettono l’energia della sua terra d’origine, è una collezione che è un po’ una sorta di “ritorno alle radici” per questa principessa Ottomana che divide la sua vita fra Parigi e la Turchia portando con se uno piccolo scrigno con le meraviglie turche.

Welcome to the enchanting and mythical Constantinople of old, the pearl of the Middle East, the jewel of the Dardanelles.

This season, Yazbukey distils the best of Turkish popular imagery, in plexi galore. Her Ottomaniac productions lead us deep into the heart of Istanbul, where we meet an array of picturesque characters: an undercover Mata-Hari who has infiltrated the Topkapi Palace harem to steal the sultan’s treasure, contemplative hookah smokers playing backgammon, a mystical fortune teller who knows secrets from ages past, and a snake charmer holding a vial filled with vitriol…

Yazbukey’s treasures – scarves, clutches, bags, necklaces and other knick knacks – reflect the rejuvenated energy of her birthplace. It is a “back to the roots” collection for this Ottoman princess who shares her life between Paris and her ancestor’s country, and who has brought back from her travels a box of Turkish Delights.

A night to remember, full of guests.
