Nero: forte, romantico, personale, individuale; somma di tutti i colori e risultato di un processo di sottrazione. Riduzionista convinta, Manuela Arcari condensa in una scelta cromatica morbidamente intransigente lo spirito della nuova collezione Ter et Bantine.

Eliminare il superfluo, spogliare il disegno di ciò che non è necessario lasciando che a parlare sia la grana della stoffa, la consistenza delle forme, la precisione del taglio è il suo modo per raggiungere un’ essenza umana e viva, che metta in primo piano la persona, non il vestito che indossa. Non-colore assoluto ma ricco di infinite sfumature, il nero riassume e sigla questa scelta.

Manuela Arcari ne coglie la morbidezza avvolgente, l’allure notturna e preziosa. La collezione ha la semplicità brutalista e la grazia secca che sono tipici di Ter et Bantine. L’uso diffuso delle imbottiture stempera il rigore in una idea di fermezza aerea e senza peso, sottolineata dal segno grafico delle fodere bianche a contrasto, dalla sorpresa tattile del pelo di mongolia nascosto all’interno di piccole giacche e cappotti. Architetture morbide si muovono intorno al corpo, toccandolo appena. Volumi esagerati e linee asciutte si mescolano in permutazioni continue: giacconi over, cappotti ad astuccio.

La silhouette è lunga e verticale, composta di strati. Percorse da jacquard intricati, da pailettes floccate, le superfici si accendono di sfumature inattese dialogando con la luce. Le forme sono elementari, ma ricche di torsioni: maglie compatte, lunghe gonne, pantaloni smoking. I materiali hanno una opulenza sottototono: lane jacquard, grossa maglia, pelliccia. Scarpe maschili equilibrano il gioco dei contrasti.

Black: strong, romantic, personal, individual; the sum of all colors and the result of a process of subtraction. A convinced reductionist, Manuela Arcari condenses in a softly uncompromising choice of  colors the spirit of the new Ter et Bantine collection. Her way to reach a human essence, one that puts the person to the fore, not the dress she is wearing, is doing away with the unnecessary,  stripping design down to the bare essentials to let the grain of the fabric, the texture of the shapes, the precision of the cut do all the talking. As an absolute non-color full of infinite shades, black summarizes this choice.

Manuela Arcari captures the nightly and precious allure of black. The collection oozes the brutalist simplicity and dry grace that are typical of Ter et Bantine. The widespread use of the padding softens the rigor with an idea of light and weightless firmness, highlighted by graphic linings in contrasting white, by the surprising touch of Mongolian lamb hidden inside small jackets and coats. Soft architectures move around the body, barely touching it. Big volumes and lean lines mingle in continuous permutations.

The silhouette is long and vertical, made of layers. Covered in intricate jacquards and flocked sequins, surfaces engage in unexpected dialogues with the light. Forms are basic, but full of twists: compact jumpers, long skirts, tuxedo trousers, over-jackets, mannish coats. Materials have an understated preciousness: jacquard wool, thick knit, fur. Men’s shoes balance the game of contrasts.
