Asserting an identity, signature and style, the eyewear in the CHANEL Spring 2022 collection comes adorned with the emblematic chain interlaced with leather and « charms » bearing the symbols of the House. Applied to acetate or metal frames, these details punctuate both the sunglasses and their optical versions, while a titanium line completes this collection of eyewear, conceived as veritable fashion accessories.

Inspired by the shoulder strap of the 11.12 bag, the metal chain interlaced with leather becomes an item of jewellery and is attached to the temples of three sunglasses designs and two optical frames. Charms – the camellia, pearl, little heart, double C and the letters of CHANEL – come together on this lightweight, removable chain that looks like a sautoir necklace.
A wide and thin square in acetate, a butterfly and an aviator in metal: on each pair of these sunglasses, the colour of the leather ribbon matches that of the black, burgundy, dark green, navy blue or brown lenses.
This same detail features on the optical versions of this line. A metal-rimmed butterfly frame (also available with anti-blue light lenses) is combined with a gold, ruthenium or silver metal chain and a black, blue or raspberry leather ribbon. Finally, an XL square design in metal is enhanced with a chain interlaced with leather to emphasise the gaze.

Renowned for its lightness, extreme resistance and hypoallergenic properties, titanium is also present in the collection. Tinted silver, pale gold or ruthenium, it comes in three vintage-style frames: an aviator with a double-bridge and rivets, a butterfly and a hexagonal. These three understated sunglasses are amplified by subtly gradated colour lenses. Blue becomes yellow like a summer horizon, violet slips into a pale yellow like a sunrise, beige evolves into smoky grey, while the copper brown is imbued with a touch of pink. The elegant and sophisticated colour scheme is signed with a discreet double C on the lenses.
