A mythical and ancestral Capri, with the sinuous white domes of the church that evoke seductive feminine shapes. The tolling of distant bells is heard. Luisa Beccaria presents her new collection in a dissolving of caves, sunny landscapes and ancient walkways, with a digital fashion show that is an ode to the contrasts of the island of love.

Pebble beaches and paths in the wild nature, stone-paved streets among green maritime pines, the inevitable magic of the sea are the scene on which the models move, all Neapolitan, wearing hyper feminine and timeless looks, daily to night, which are inspired to the energy, the light, the colors of this land among the Mediterranean waters.

As you emerge from the myth, mermaid women, muses and nymphs are dressed in minute patterns and floral flashes with deep necklines, or with versatile and impalpable flounced caftans.

The trompe-l’oeil effect creates subtle perspective effects for the broken pieces composed of shorts with brassiere, corolla skirts with blouses and maxi ruffled skirts, which look like one-piece-dress reinterpreted in a modern key. Mini, maxi or knee-length, the fluid dresses and shirtdresses are enriched with small rouches and soft and gathered sleeves, a tribute to the shapes of nature designed for every summer occasion: you can breathe the air of holidays, on a boat as well as in the countryside.

The “sea” collection – which anticipates the next debut of the beachwear line – features small pieces, costumes, sartorial hot pants, bustiers and sundresses in cool two-tone Sangallo (finished with lace and ajour stitch in shades of coral or light blue), alternating with outfit of the same fabric but of a deep blue. Even the tulle and soft jersey underwear is perfectly coordinated.

Luisa Beccaria also declines the iconic “poppy” print, made famous in the 90s by an exceptional testimonial such as Julia Roberts, playing with the colors and weights of the fabrics. The lightness of organza, chiffon and gauze contrasts with vigorous linen or the absolute comfort of stretch cotton.

The prints, which come from the archive, explode in a symphony of flowers: micro and macro poppies, in fact, but also floral stripes, mini-patterns and roses that flake off to create new figures. All enclosed, just like in a bouquet, by entre-deux ribbons in coordinated fabrics or velvet, which help to define fit and silhouette.

The dresses are counterpointed by romantic and functional wide-brimmed hats, shoppers and beach towels in cotton or terry, printed with the same motifs and nuances. The accessories line is completed with headbands, wide fabric bands, flat ribbon sandals that fasten to the ankle and funky chains handmade by Capri artisans.

The colors tell of an eternal dawn with classic flavors: pinks fade into reds and purples, while the blues and blues of the sea and sky degrade on the evening dresses that become transparent like spring waters. Contrasts of sunrises and sunsets that weave a narrative between local legends and ancient traditions, tales of pure love where dreams and life mix in a myth, which takes on the contours of contemporaneity and everyday life.
