ISSEY MIYAKE AUTUMN WINTER 2014 Collection is inspired by the majestic art of the forest. ‘Ringed Pleats’ and ‘3D Steam Stretch’ are used to evoke images of towering trees, steadfast roots anchored firmly to the ground, and the long cycle of growth that is etched out so wondrously in a tree’s growth rings, resulting in the creation of radical streamlined forms. Cloth harbors the power of life : wrap yourself in it and feel an instantaneous metamorphosis into pure joy at the wonder of living.
