On International Women’s Day, Burberry defends the voice of young women and strengthens support for charities that drive meaningful change and share and promote work to empower the next generation and build a more equitable and inclusive future for all.

Burberry continues to support London Youth by contributing with a donation that will help fund programs for young women and girls through the charitable network of over 600 community youth organizations. The shared goal of London Youth is to provide all young Londoners with the skills, confidence and opportunities to achieve success, overcoming the structural barriers that many young people face today.

Additionally, Burberry made a donation to The Prince’s Trust Women Supporting Women initiative, a longtime charitable partner. Burberry’s donation will allow hundreds of women to access quick virtual interviews with employers, online courses to develop employment skills and support education through the Change a Girl’s Life campaign.

In a special celebratory film, London Youth spokespersons Kalliyah, Margarett, Maya and Shakirae and members of the Burberry ‘family’, including Aaron Philip, He Cong, Irina Shayk, Jourdan Dunn, Lea T and Mariacarla Boscono, the Jazz Grant artist and June Sarpong OBE, BBC Director of Creative Diversity, address issues ranging from modern femininity to hopes and ambitions for the future.

The Burberry Foundation has also entered into a further partnership with London Youth, providing young people from some of London’s most deprived communities with the resources and support to address and overcome the short- and long-term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Foundation will help by donating funding to the 15 youth clubs that Burberry first supported in 2020. This will help provide coverage for youth worker costs, mental health support, facilitate access to online education tools and ensure that those in difficult financial situations have access to food, essential goods and secure community spaces.
