Luisa Beccaria in her Fall / Winter 2021/2022 Collection reflects on the concept of embrace, in a broad and not just a physical sense. A gesture to rediscover a contact, a connection with nature and one’s spirit.
The silhouette is soft, the play of volumes runs from maxi to snug, but with great kindness. The colors are graceful: off-white and powder pink, ivory, amethyst, a thousand shades of green, from sea water to forest green, for a strongly pictorial effect.
The impalpable lightness, which has always characterized the brand, is combined with the cozyness of the softest and enveloping garments. A timeless style that embraces the present and the past, in which iconic archival pieces interact with the everyday life of a more comfortable wardrobe. The protagonists are the overlaps, intended as contrasts and embraces between different shapes and weights.
The concept video “Embrace” was shot in the enchanted scenery of a dreamlike winter nature, in the Oltrepò between Lombardy and Piedmont, that of the familiar landscapes of the designer’s childhood. The quality of the clothes, their materials, durability, timeless style embody the concept of a “responsible luxury”, green and sustainable, which embraces a lifestyle free from the logic of consumption. The concept of elegance and femininity that has always been dear to the brand, between flowers and lightness, is actualized in garments that are born, or reborn, to become true “friends in the closet”.
The chiffon dress is worn over leggings with a small flower pattern, combined with very warm maxi-pullovers and rubber goblets.
