Personally autographed by the Artistic Director of the men’s collections Virgil Abloh, the sneaker, one-of-a-kind, measures 9 UK, the standard one of the Louis Vuitton prototypes and the side grille on this pair is bright red, subsequently adapted to white by Virgil Abloh on the occasion launch of production.
Presented for the first time during Virgil Abloh’s Spring-Summer 2019 show for Louis Vuitton, the LV Trainer has become a flagship model among the House’s sneakers. With a nostalgic flavor inspired by the lines of basketball shoes, the Louis Vuitton I (RED) Trainer are decorated with the Monogram motif in bright red and embossed details on white leather. The logo flowers are incorporated laterally into the sneaker sole. The only pair of Louis Vuitton | (RED) LV Trainer prototype sneakers will be available in an online-only auction on Sothebys.com, open for bids from February 22 to March 4. Estimated between US $ 30,000 and US $ 40,000 and offered without reserve, all proceeds from the sale will be donated to support the relief work of the Global Fund. The shoes will be exhibited in Sotheby’s galleries in New York and visible by appointment.
