To celebrate Valentine’s Day, Alexander McQueen launches a capsule collection with the new Short Story, an I-phone case, Tread Slicks and wool and silk scarves printed and embroidered with romantic symbols. Taking inspiration from 1960s brooches and juxtaposing meanings of love in the style of McQueen, hearts, doves, roses and lips are among the curiosities that appear, sometimes pierced by Cupid’s arrow or subverted by punk-inspired safety pins or from the iconic skulls of the house.
A single large eye with a heart for a pupil on a pair of Tread Slicks is the perfect gift; together with a limited edition Short Story bag, launched for the new Spring / Summer 2021 season, here printed all-over with hearts of love.
The Spring / Summer 2021 pre-collection sees the introduction of new eyewear families, including sunglasses with studded lenses.
Referencing Alexander McQueen’s signature punk heritage, the sunglasses feature small metal studs integrated into an acetate insert on metal frames. Finished with the Alexander McQueen logo engraved on the metal temples, the sunglasses come in both round and cat-eye shapes and lenses are available in a variety of colors.
