Louis Vuitton | (RED) Trainer shoes in support of the fight against AIDS

Louis Vuitton is pleased to announce its collaboration with (RED), the organization founded in 2006 by Bono and Bobby Shriver, which aims to fight AIDS. Louis Vuitton is proud to support (RED) by creating a Louis Vuitton Trainer | (RED). For each pair of LV Trainers sold, $ 200 will be donated to the Global Fund for the fight AIDS supported by (RED).

Presented for the first time at the Louis Vuitton fashion show Spring-Summer 2019 by the Artistic Director of Virgil Abloh men’s collections, the LV Trainer became the top model among the sneakers of the Maison. With a nostalgic flavor inspired by the lines of footwear from basketball, the Louis Vuitton | (RED) Trainer are decorated with the Monogram motif in bright red and embossed details on leather white. The logo flowers are incorporated laterally into the sneaker sole. Made in Italy, in the Manufacture de Souliers Louis Vuitton of Fiesso D’Artico, in the Riviera del Brenta, the LV Trainers, innovative and entirely embellished by the codes of the Maison, include (RED) signatures and powerful messages. (RED) takes its name from the color of the emergency. (RED) was founded in 2006 to involve businesses and people in one of the biggest emergencies health care, the AIDS pandemic. Today, COVID-19 threatens to undo the efforts in the fight against AIDS. (RED) supports the fight against two deadly pandemics, AIDS and COVID-19, partnering with brands around the world to raise money for the Global Fund through (RED) branded goods and experiences. THE (RED) partners include: Alessi, Amazon, Apple, Balmain, Bank of America, Dr. Dre’s Beats, Cairn, Claro, Durex, eos, Girl Skateboards, Louis Vuitton, Montblanc, Mophie, Netjets, NTWRK, Primark, Salesforce, Starbucks, Telcel, Therabody, UMask and Vespa. Supporters (RED) include: Merck / MSD and Roche. To date, (RED) has raised $ 650 million for the Global Fund to support HIV grants / AIDS mainly in eSwatini, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia. The 100 % of the funds go to the field, without any deduction. Grants from the Global Fund that (RED) supports impacted 1 80 million people through prevention, treatment, counseling, testing HIV and care services. Today, (RED) continues to support these programs as well as efforts for mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on critical health services for the most fragile around the world.
