K-Way x THE Marc Jacobs
K-Way and Marc Jacobs have a longstanding common history, their latest collaboration it dates back to nine years ago. Under the creative direction of THE Marc Jacobs, the brands have united once again to explore “The Windbreaker”.
The collection has revisited the iconic K-Way Le Vrai Eiffel 3.0 jacket and Pierrick suit with the hero SS20 print by THE Marc Jacobs, fusing the classic and functional aspects of K-Way with the playfulness of THE Marc Jacobs. Launched in May 2019, THE Marc Jacobs was conceived to maintain the concept of unique brand of the house and integrate the runway collection instead of dividing it. For spring 2020, the brand wanted to explore “The Windbreaker” and decided to join one more vault with K-Way proposing a floral print in a contemporary and psychedelic key paisley, imagined in a pastel palette of pink, yellow, orange, green, blue and purple and declined on the original K-Way silhouettes.
K-Way was born in Paris on a rainy day in 1965 and immediately stands out as elegant and versatile outerwear “en cas de pluie”, from which the current brand name derives. K- Way has become famous as the waterproof jacket par excellence: classic, modern, technological, functional and colorful. The collections include historical jackets with zip heat-sealed, which can be folded into a small pocket and made of materials waterproof, windproof, warm and breathable, as well as fashionable clothing and accessories, which they have the same characteristics of practicality and functionality. The unisex collaboration is now available online and in Marc Jacobs stores, as well as in select worldwide boutiques.
