CHANEL will present the Paris – 31 rue Cambon 2019/20 Métiers d’art collection on Thursday June 4th, 2020 at Old Billingsgate, a 19th century Victorian building located in the heart of London.

The Paris – 31 rue Cambon 2019/20 Métiers d’art collection created by Virginie Viard, Artistic Director of the Fashion collections, was first shown last December at the Grand Palais in Paris. The décor of the venue was a recreation of Gabrielle Chanel’s apartment, the Couture salons as well as the legendary mirrored staircase, located at the emblematic Parisian address of the House at 31 rue Cambon. Presented in this refined écrin, the collection honoured the codes of CHANEL, such as the wheat, the ribbon, the camellia, the double C or the two-tone, as well as the iconic bottle of CHANEL N°5 and the symbols of Mademoiselle Chanel’s 1932 “Bijoux de Diamants” collection.

Every year since 2002, the CHANEL Métiers d’art collection has celebrated the exceptional savoir-faire of the Parisian Fashion Métiers d’art that enhance the creativity of the House, including embroiderers, feathermakers, paruriers, pleaters, shoemakers, milliners and glovemakers.

This exceptional rendezvous will further highlight the dialogue between the creativity of Virginie Viard and the craftsmanship and savoir-faire of CHANEL’s Métiers d’art.
