Louis Vuitton “A day with Leandra Medine Cohen”

The new Louis Vuitton women’s footwear collection combines classic with futuristic, sporty style with savoir-faire, refinement and androgynous femininity, giving life to a decisive and fashionable look for summer 2020. The star of this season is the moccasin, reinvented by Nicolas Ghesquière, Artistic Director of the Louis Vuitton Women’s Collections. The models play with the male and female universes, reinforcing the Maison’s style codes throughout the collection.

The Swift moccasin has a sporty look, accompanied by a hybrid blend of leather and hi-tech fabrics. With the new LV Circle buckle designed by Nicolas Ghesquière for the Cruise 2019 show, this model presents one of the iconic brands of the Maison: the flower-shaped heel of the Monogram. Undeniably masculine, the Academy model gives the classic college moccasin a modern touch with the plateau sole composed of overlapping layers of leather. With its generous and deliberately emphasized shape, this shoe combines beautifully with the LV Beaubourg derby shoes presented at the Fall Winter 2019 fashion show, also with an oversized sole and platform. In total contrast to the other models, the ultra feminine Podium model gives the next summer a seventies atmosphere.

From ankle boots to platform sandals, this style of shoe cleverly combines leather and suede, for a decidedly vintage effect. The entire collection is playful and colorful and the LV Archlight model is no exception. The unique futuristic style and the oversized sole of the iconic Louis Vuitton sneakers are a success that is renewed every season and for summer 2020 they are presented in new colors.
