Dior ushers in the Christmas spirit — it’s time for celebration and its magical moments. Through its spectacular windows and its dedicated collections, the House perpetuates the art of giving and receiving that has been close to its heart from the beginning.
On this occasion, delicate prints designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri – featuring the wax* from her 2020 Cruise collection – are imbued with African inspirations in a captivating artistic dialogue between the pluralistic culture of this continent and its precious savoir-faire and Dior codes like the iconic toile de Jouy**. These various motifs notably adorn the iconic Lady Dior in shades of blue and gold, two of the founding couturier’s favorite colors. They also unfurl on elegant silk scarves and on the emblematic Dior Book Tote, featuring baobabs – the majestic trees of life –, jungle animals or tarot cards. There are also sunglasses, small leather goods, the 30 Montaigne bag – in flamboyant red – and the must-have J’Adior pumps. Like invitations to please (others or oneself) and inspire desire, each gift carries the promise of a moment filled with dreams and generosity in which Dior’s heritage becomes even more enchanting thanks to the magic of Christmas.

* Accompanied by the anthropologist Anne Grosfilley, Maria Grazia Chiuri collaborated with the Uniwax factory and studio (in Côte d’Ivoire) to reinterpret the House’s signatures by incorporating them into a special wax edition, a 100% African production of exemplary traceability.

** A signature of the House, this motif was the décor, starting in 1947 and on the advice of the artist Christian Bérard, for Monsieur Dior’s first boutique, called “Colifichets”.
