Created using technical materials, one hundred percent water-repellent including treated leather and knitwear, the seasonal collection is presented for the Spring-Summer 2020 collection. The name derives from the encounter between the present century and 1854, the year in which it was founded the Maison, evoking an idea about the Maison’s male wardrobe two hundred years after its birth. Defining a contemporary style, thanks to the transformation of urban and sports dress codes, Louis Vuitton 2054 presents fourteen pieces in a selection of styles and colors, each of which integrated into transformable values.

The continuous evolution of the research process of Virgil Abloh on the key elements of the wardrobe, which form the basis of our collective sense of daily clothing, paves the way for multi-functional garments referring to high-performance clothing but versatile in their essence. Using the compressomorphosis technique, introduced for the first time in the Fall-Winter 2019 pre-collection, in which the details of the pockets on the garments are compressed entirely to become easily transportable and therefore ideal for travel.
Oversized padded shirts with multiple zips are compressed in their own back pocket and become a trekking pillow. The anoraks have a front pocket inside which the jacket folds and turns into a pouch. Military parka made from a quilted padded lining and an outer shell are divided into two separate jackets. Parachute pants with embossed Monogram have removable cargo pockets, multi-pocket signature of the accessory morphology (the integration of the bags in the garments), a recurring detail in the collections of Virgil Abloh.

The shoes take on the codes of military and outdoor clothing, with a boot in black nylon with a sneaker sole for climbing and a utility sneaker in black leather with nylon details. Accessories in Monogram 3-D include an extra-large scarf that can be rolled up like a mat. In addition, the line includes a water-repellent bucket hat that folds over itself. The chain jewels take on the rainbow motif with the new logos, while a gourmet necklace in black ruthenium is embellished with a rainbow-colored LV pendant. The black sunglasses, inspired by protective safety glasses, are equipped with interchangeable lenses: a classic black and a playful transparent with multi-reflective Monogram effect. The pair of lenses is made using a complex injection technique with adjustable eyecups and Monogram engraving on each side. The connected Tambour Horizon watch continues to study the possibilities offered by the latest technology with the launch of a new exclusive dial: a dynamic color palette that reproduces the three-dimensional Monogram of the collection.
