After a first limited edition in 2018, conceived by Karl Lagerfeld and born under the sign of a sophisticated elegance, Christofle this year associates its tradition with the art of living in the French way, its excellence and its savoir-faire to that of the two creative and talented celebrities. A musical icon that has also become an icon of fashion, Pharrell Williams is a talented producer and artist who has for some time been collaborating with music artists and big names in the fashion world.
Solar artist, enthusiastic and brilliant (yellow is his favorite color), Pharrell Williams works instinctively in collaborative mode.
Invited by Christofle to imagine the limited edition 2019 of MOOD by Christofle, he immediately thinks of co-creating this edition with his friend Jean Imbert, with whom he opened a restaurant in Miami in October 2018 – the “Swan” – already acclaimed by the American fashion and music elite.

Friendship, creativity, a sense of fun and sharing are key values for Pharrell Williams and Jean Imbert. At the same time, Christofle’s will to embody the art of sharing with a form of elegance that is at the same time statutory, refined and raised by touches of informality.
Created by Christofle goldsmiths and launched in September 2015, Christofle’s MOOD quickly became a key and cult piece of the art of eating. With its clean lines and contemporary design, which make it a beautiful decorative object to display on the table, the MOOD by Christofle signs a new art of hospitality based on elegance, which at the same time adapts to everyday, informal and relaxed uses .

For this limited edition of MOOD by Christofle 2019, Pharrell Williams and Jean Imbert wanted to use all the traits that unite them. First of all, the joy transmitted by the bright yellow color chosen for the lacquer that covers the steel case. The friendship, obviously, illustrated by the frieze of the drawing that brings together the family and relatives of Pharrell and Jean. We can thus recognize Jean Imbert’s grandmother, inspirer of the new concept of her Parisian restaurant (the “Mamie”), the wife of Pharrell Williams and some friends. To illustrate their sense of conviviality, Pharrell Williams and Jean Imbert insisted on representing themselves in the act of welcoming guests in their hands. The sharing, common value of Christofle and the two creators, is indicated in English by the word “Share”, written by Pharrell Williams and engraved on the handles of the cutlery. Lastly, elegance and attention to the other are well present, as each guest has a different color of lacquer on the engraving.
