The Balenciaga Eyewear Summer 20 collection introduces the LED Frame eyewear, giving life to a new model in line with the brand’s constant commitment to use technology in innovative ways.

The bold rectangular frame is completed by thick and tapered rods, one of which is equipped with a light LED device that illuminates the Balenciaga logo. The latter is animated by various colors and patterns, regulated by a touch sensor.

The logo lights up when the rods are completely open and turns off when they are closed, placed upside down on a surface for more than five seconds or touched three times. The light flashes, remains static or fades from one color to another, in blue, red, green, purple, yellow and white, depending on the desire of those who wear glasses. The internal battery is easily recharged via a USB cable.

Originally inspired by the luminous sneakers in vogue in the nineties, as well as a line of shoes and boots presented on the runways of the Summer 19 fashion show, the Balenciaga LED Frame uses contemporary technology, thus also evoking the universe of speculative science fiction.
