Faith Connexion is entering uncharted territories with explorations of various styles and eras. Spring/Summer 2020 presents a couture street fighter collection in a quest for urban conquest. Inspired by the roaring Années Folles, a decade of the 1920s in France that evoked emotions of freedom and intense cultural independence combined with the nostalgia of the iconic 1970s, the collection seeks to set Faith Connexion on a new journey. The simultaneously masculine yet feminine silhouettes freely appropriates the elements of a wardrobe that is essentially dynamic and interchangeable. Proportions are exaggerated with oversized shirts, overalls, weightless embellished t-shirt dresses made of tulle and metal mesh fabrics bringing a feeling of lightness together with the freshness of the summer. Motocross and cyclic basics are enhanced with a twist of vintage couture. The inherent feeling of liberation of the 1920s is referenced throughout the feminine pieces meshed with British-army parkas and utilitarian workwear, camos and khakis displayed in softer color palettes and flowy textures. In all these ways, this collection is an ‘l’invitation aux voyages’, one that marks a new foray for Faith Connexion.
