Wes Anderson and Juman Malouf in the new project of Fondazione Prada

Tonight the private opening event of the exhibition “Il sarcofago di Spitzmaus e altri tesori”, conceived by film director Wes Anderson and illustrator and writer Juman Malouf, took place at Fondazione Prada in Milan. On view from 20 September 2019 to 13 January 2020, the project is organized in collaboration with the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. It brings together more than five-hundred objects, including natural findings, artworks and artifacts, selected by Anderson and Malouf and created over the course of five millennia, from ancient Egypt to the present day.

In the presence of Fondazione Prada’s Presidents Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli, (among the others) Wes Anderson and Juman Malouf, the Kunsthistorisches Museum’s General Director Sabine Haag; Fondazione Prada’s Scientific and Artistic Superintendent Germano Celant, the London Design Museum’s Director Deyan Sudjic, film directors and actors Ella Balinska, Nicole Kidman, Regina King, Shota Matsuda, Gaspar Noé, Storm Reid and Sadie Sink; musicians and singers A$AP Rocky, Jarvis Cocker, Sunmi, Guan Xiaotong e Cai Xu Kun; artists Taryn Simon, Andreas Slominski, Juergen Teller and Francesco Vezzoli and personalities from the world of culture and fashion as Winnie Harlow, Amanda Gorman and Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis attended the event.
