Whistles F/W 2014 @ LFW

For autumn winter 2014 whistles, presents a collection focused on eveningwear. Whether the whistles woman is staying in or going out, she dresses in soft textures, oversized shapes, fluid lines and blurred prints.

Sweaters are worn cropped and loosely fitted, or tucked in casually. some with an oversized roll neck or ribbed panelling. Combined with wide leg relaxed trousers or skirts that fall to the mid calf. Waists are oversized and relaxed, gathered in with a sash belt like luxurious loungewear.

Checks are reimagined for evening, blurred and oversized with a patchwork feel to them. These are printed on to soft silk trapeze line dresses, whilst pleated panels are inserted to add movement. tunics are worn over wide leg culottes or checked silk sheer trousers almost pyjama like in style. Skirts are also trapeze shaped, worn with elongated tops that sit below the hip, creating a soft silhouette.

Outerwear is deliberately oversized. overcoats come in soft wools in shades of blue, green and grey. patterned with large checks that give a feeling of a blanket enveloping the wearer with warmth. scarves are in matching fabrics, looped through once and outsize.

lilac becomes a key colour for eveningwear. a thick pelted faux fur coat is the ultimate in luxurious comfort, in soft lilac grey it is fastened loosely and worn with just a roll neck underneath. a simple tunic falls below the waist and is tied loosely with a sash belt and worn with loose trousers. a strapless top comes with cuffs of fabric around the upper arms, whilst a jumpsuit is cut low around the side of the torso allowing for a glimpse of a cropped bandeau top.

Navy and black are staple colours for eveningwear. in rich faux ponyskin or heavy satin fabrications, they are brought up to date in a bandeau top that finishes below the waist or a dress with it’s origins in sportswear detailing, a racer back flows in to a full skirt.

A slipper slide – the perfect accompaniment to effortless eveningwear – is worn throughout, whether in black satin or lilac silk crepe.

Bags are boxy and compact or elongated and soft. clutches feature soft faux fur bracelets. Leather is tumbled to create a softer texture and features signature gold hardware.

Jewellery includes fine link chain and tube chokers and bracelets in gold and silver sit with pear drop shaped pendants and earrings in two tone colours.
