Louis Vuitton invited six contemporary artists to enrich with their unique vision the iconic Capucines della Maison bag in the exclusive Artycapucines collection.
Launched for the first time in 2013 in tribute to Rue des Capucines, the Parisian street where Louis Vuitton opened its first boutique in 1854, the Capucines bag is a model that immediately became a contemporary classic.
Today Louis Vuitton launches the limited-edition Artycapucines collection, consisting of six Capucines bags whose distinctive design and silhouette has served as the perfect “white canvas” for six leading international artists: Sam Falls, Urs Fischer, Nicholas Hlobo, Israel Alex, Tschabalala Self and Jonah Wood.
The Artycapucines collection is another example of Louis Vuitton’s renowned ability to involve artists in bringing their ideas to life, combining the Maison’s constant passion for innovation with savoir-faire.
