For their Fall-Winter 2019-20 collection, CHAKSHYN designers Dima and Anton juxtapose their signature masculine tailoring with business wear and modern feminine staples. Designers drew inspiration from the daily office routine, their mood-board featuring typical elements of business attire. While ties and vests get re-invented in pearls, Anton and Dima dissect the male wardrobe and put the pieces back together into edgy womenswear – formal trousers transform into feminine dresses, voluminous trench-coats gain flowing details, tank tops turn into dresses with open-back. The office classics, suit jackets and formal shirts are cut with elongated vents and pearl-embellished seams. Anton and Dima expand their jewelry line that gains momentum among the brand’s following. The jewelry is again created in collaboration with artisan Sergey Zhernov. The starting point for FW19-20 additions was a sense of nostalgia when looking at broken Christmas ornaments. Silver reflections in these pieces of forgotten past and the selfie obsession of the modern age inspired the Mirror earrings. Hoop earrings with seemingly broken closures hint at the fake perfection of life presented in the social media. CHAKSHYN’s favorite raw pearls return with shiny crystals.
CHAKSHYN is based in Kiev, Ukraine. All collections are produced at small local factories.
