La raffinata designer olandese Ilja Visser debutta alla haute couture parigina e lo fa con una collezione dal titolo “Caesura haute couture”. L’ispirazione di questa stagione è l’eternità e il tempo. Ispirata dalle foto di paesaggi marini del fotografo Hirosshi Sugimoto e dai fluidi orizzonti dipinti da Mark Rothko. Linee organiche, fluide e sensuali silhouette si uniscono ai luoghi più meditativi di spiagge vuote, paesaggi bruciati dal sole e un sentimento di nebbiosa calma e pervadono tutta la collezione. Una reazione alla frenesia del vivere e al ritmo forsennato e alienante della routine di tutti i giorni, Ilja crea un momento di sospensione, di silenzio, ecco che tutti gli orologi si fermano e il tempo non ha più limiti. I vecchi macchinari e i loro arrugginiti meccanismi diventano bellissimi oggetti d’arte.
Ogni tessuto usato da Ilja ha un affascinante misticismo, un unica combinazione di due mondi dove dettagli figli del mondo industriale si uniscono a morbidi panneggi. Tagli e pieghe modellano il tessuto realizzando modelli di impatto scultorio.

This season’s inspiration for the label ILJA is totally standing in the name of eternalness and time. Inspired by the seascapes of photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto and the paintings of fluid horizons by Mark Rothko. Organic lines, fluid and sensual silhouettes couple with the meditative and timeless surroundings of empty beaches, washed-out landscapes and the feeling of foggy quietness embrace the collection. As a reaction to high-speed living and a loudly ticking rhythm of daily routines ILJA is creating a conscience moment of silence. Here all clockwork comes to a stop and time has no limitations. Machines antiquate and become, in the shades of old rusty metals, beautiful objects of art.
To each ILJA garment there is a fascinating mysticism added.A unique combination of two worlds where hard industrial details grow together with tender draperies.
Amongst mixed qualities, generous cuttings and dusky colors, constructed fabric manipulations dominate the collection and realizes sculptural effects. In contrast, printed fluid, marbled and organically structured qualities underline the sensual side of the ILJA woman.
