Shoe Designer Francesco Russo custom made special styles for Director Luca Guadagnino’s new film Suspiria, starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Mia Goth, Dakota Johnson and Tilda Swinton. Movie plays in Berlin, near 1970 focuses on the terrible secrets hidden in the walls of the Markos Dance Academy,manage by witches.
Clothing becomes a main character of the movie: inspired from the 70’s (midi skirts, velvet, prints and stacked-heel boots), almost every piece was custom made, shoes aswell. The collaboration starts from a twenty-year friendship between Francesco Russo and Director, Luca Guadagnino and Costume Designer Giulia Piersanti, a strong, organic and continuous relation.
